Zero Waste Grant Program: Strong Financing for a Local Circular Economy

The Zero Waste Grant Programme (ZWGP) , implemented under the European Union's Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), supports local projects in Turkey that reduce waste generation, increase resource efficiency, and accelerate the circular economy. The call, with a total budget of €6.3 million, is an Action Grant and open to local actors nationwide. European Commission

Who can apply? Municipalities, special provincial administrations, and solid waste management associations can be the main applicants; NGOs, universities, research centers, development agencies, cooperatives, and professional organizations can be co-applicants. Prioritized activities include establishing waste prevention and recycling infrastructures, developing local zero-waste strategies, developing decision support systems, and training and awareness programs.
